Description
GDP Portals Give You Strength and Performance
SuperATV’s
GDP 4” Portal Gear Lift for the Honda Pioneer 500 gives you power and
performance that you can’t get anywhere else. Get it with a 15% or 30% gear
reduction to give you the punchy torque you need, and pair it with your choice
of housing to get your perfect portal. If you want unbeatable strength, opt
for our dual-idler configuration. You have the power to make work easier and
weekends more fun.
What Is a Dual Idler®?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our
dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in
the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more
reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler
gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC
grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310
steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and
experience, they finally do.
Perfect for All Kinds of
Rides
Get a 30% gear reduction and start flingin’ mud. With a
massive boost to torque, you can chew through the thickest bounty holes. It’s
also perfect for rocks where you get the torque you need to crawl over
boulders like they’re not even there. Usually stick to chores and trails? Go
with a 15% gear reduction. You’ll have the clearance and power you need to
push through ruts and ditches easily all while towing a trailer full of
supplies. Plus, you’ll still have enough speed to cruise down the road and
take on trails easily.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your
Drivetrain
With portal lifts, the gear reduction is placed in
the hub instead of in the transmission. This means your drivetrain doesn’t
have to work as hard, so those important components will last longer. Of all
the benefits of a portal gear lift, reduced stress on your axles,
differential, prop shaft, and transmission is definitely at the top of the
list.
The Toughest Portals in the Industry
It
takes a lot of hard work to make GDP Portal Gear Lifts the strongest in the
world. We’ve put in years of research and testing to bring you portals that
are strong enough to keep up with even the most rugged off-road lifestyle.
Between our beefed up cast or billet aluminum housings and our advanced alloy
backing plates, there’s nothing that will stop you.
- Our housings are
reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow - Advanced
steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly - Enhance with Portal Blood—gear oil
formulated for GDP Portals - There are no gimmicks and no vents because
vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings
Our portals use:
- Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low
deterioration rates - A sealed input gear and double-lipped output
seal - 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil
leaks - Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature
wear - Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear
meshing
